Level 5 Health & Safety
QSP are an accredited City and Guilds assessment centre offering a range of Health and Safety qualifications.
Who is it For?
This qualification is designed for health and safety professionals. Level 5 denotes competence which involves the application of knowledge and skills in a broad range of complex, technical or professional work activities performed in a wide variety of contexts and with a substantial degree of personal responsibility and autonomy. You should be responsible for developing and applying health and safety procedures day-to-day in your organisation. You may be a staff member, supervisor or manager looking to improve their knowledge and skills.
How does it Work?
The assessment is undertaken at the candidate's own site by an Awarding Body approved Assessor. This causes minimum disruption to the candidate's day to day work load which can occur with alternative training programmes where the candidate leaves site to be trained in a classroom setting.
The award includes for the candidate to build a portfolio of evidence which is then assessed against a nationally recognised standard and has the added benefit of being transferable between market sectors.
Candidates can help supplement their activity log for their CPD. The NVQ Level 5 is the natural continuation from the level 3 or 4 for candidates who have responsibilities for the environment as well as health and safety.
What will I Gain?
On successful completion of these qualifications candidates receive a QCF Certificate of Achievement along with their portfolio which has recorded their achievement to keep as reference.
