Continuing Competence Refresher Course

Continuing Competence Refresher Course, Pearson VueIn England and Wales CIWM and WAMITAB's Operator Competence Scheme has a requirement for individuals to keep their competence up to date. Therefore all competent persons falling within the Scheme will be required to demonstrate ‘Continuing Competence' and this will be appropriate to the level of risk posed by the facility so that it remains proportional.

Who is it For?

Site managers who hold a Certificate of Technical Competence (CoTC) or Operator Competence Certificate (OCC) are now required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD). WAMITAB has to ensure that CoTC and OCC holders are up-to-date. To achieve this, CoTC and OCC holders must take a short, computer-based, multiple choice test every two years.

How does it Work?

The refresher course is designed as a short revision course and covers key aspects of the legislation and related matters that CoTC and OCC holders are expected to know and could be tested on.

The course can be run at our office in the West Midlands or on site with minimum of 5 attendees.

The half day course will be run by a Qualified Assessor who has firsthand experience and knowledge on taking the Continuing Competence test.

What will I Gain?

Individual will gain extended knowledge and understanding on key areas to assist with preparation for the test. Individuals will also be given guidance on how to book the test and what could be expected on the day by viewing our testing area.
