Refresher/ Re-qualification

The first aid at work re-qualification course updates the first aid skills of those who need to renew their First Aid at work certificate.

This three-hour refresher course provides first aiders with an opportunity to practise and update theirskills as a qualified first aider, at any time while their first aid certificate is valid.

Employers are legally required to ensure their first aiders are competent and maintain their skills throughout the three years in which their certificates are valid.

The HSE strongly recommends that you attend a refresher session once every year during this three year period and that you requalify within a month of your certificate expiring.

Who is it for?

These courses are for anyone that holds a First Aid certificate and wants to refresh their skills or renew their certificate.

What will I gain?

The EFAW refresher session builds on your expertise and confidence by involving you in realistic situations with simulated casualties.

The FAW re-qualification course aims to update and refresh your knowledge of First aid at work, while also allowing time for revision and practice sessions in preparation for an assessment at the end of the course.

The FAW Re qualification is 12 hours split over 2 days and the Annual Refresher is 3 hours long.
