The Environmental Agency (EA) published a press release on 28th September 2018 stating how they have joined forces with eBay to tackle illegal car breakers which use the e-commerce site to trade.

Who is it For?

Online traders who sell parts from end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) online without a licence are to be targeted by a joint Environment Agency (EA) and eBay campaign.

Traders on eBay are also being advised to display their permit number, or the name of the sites where they source the parts they are selling, which provides reassurance to purchasers that they are buying from a legal dealer.
