Level 4 NVQ Health & Safety Occupational Practice(Can Provide Professional Membership to IOSH)
Suitable for:
This is a nationally recognised qualification for those managers /advisers who hold responsibilities for Health & Safety within their organisation. This qualification has the added benefit of being transferable between all market sectors.
Method of Delivery:
The assessment is undertaken on the Candidates own site causing little disruption. This is an added benefit as the NEBOSH course would be a class room based qualification requiring attendance to a local training provider. Assessments are observed by a qualified and experienced QSP Training Assessor. Guidance in the production of a portfolio of evidence is given.
Recognition:
Upon successful completion of this qualification, Candidates are presented with a Nationally recognised NVQ Certificate of Achievement. Candidates are also able to apply to IOSH to become a full member of the body if they wish for a fee.

  • Develop and implement effective communication systems for Health & Safety information
  • Develop and maintain individual and organisational competence in Health & Safety
  • Identify and evaluate health & safety hazards
  • Assess Health & Safety risks
  • Determine and implement Health & Safety risk control measures
  • Develop and implement active monitoring systems for Health & Safety
  • Develop and implement reactive monitoring systems for Health & Safety
  • Develop and implement Health & Safety emergency response systems and procedures
  • Develop and implement Health & Safety review systems
  • Develop and implement Health & Safety audit systems

    In addition there are an additional 4 units which can be completed but not necessary to gain the qualification:

  • Contribute to Health & Safety legal actions
  • Influence and keep pace with improvements in Health & Safety practice
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to minimise environmental impact of the organisation
  • Manage the use of financial resources (MSC)
