Level 5 NVQ in Management of Health and Safety
Suitable for
This qualification is designed for health and safety professionals.
Level 5 denotes competence which involves the application of knowledge and skills in a broad range of complex, technical or professional work activities performed in a wide variety of contexts and with a substantial degree of personal responsibility and autonomy.
Method of Delivery
The assessment is undertaken at the candidate’s own site by an Awarding Body approved Assessor. This causes minimum disruption to the candidate's day to day work load which can occur with alternative training programmes where the candidate leaves site to be trained in a classroom setting.
The award includes for the candidate to build a portfolio of evidence which is then assessed against a nationally recognised standard and has the added benefit of being transferable between market sectors.
Recognition
On successful completion of this qualification, candidates are
issued an NVQ Certificate of Achievement along with their portfolio which has recorded their achievement to keep as a reference.
Candidates can help supplement their activity log for their CPD. The NVQ Level 5 is the natural continuation from the level 4 for candidates who have responsibilities for the environment as well as health and safety.
