Non Statutory Waste Management NVQ Qualifications
Suitable for:
All employees working within the Waste Management Industry. Levels 1 and 2 cover operatives whereas Levels 3 and 4 are designed for supervisory and managerial roles.
Descriptions:
QSP Training provides these non statutory qualifications to encourage best practise methods. The awards are assessed to a national standard, allowing employees to have the skills necessary to perform their role effectively. Each award can be tailored to the role an employee performs and covers every aspect of Waste Operations. As Waste Management Operators search for ways to add value to the services they provide, a qualified workforce that will not only enhance productivity, but also promote a positive image of their organisation.
Method of Delivery:
Practical assessment of candidates on-site competence, as observed by a qualified and experienced QSP Training Assessor.
Recognition:
Upon successful completion of this qualification. Candidates are presented with a Nationally recognised NVQ Certificate of Achievement along with their log book to keep as reference.

  • Level 1:
    Designed for operatives working in recycling and clinical waste, landfill and civic amenity sites, treatment or incineration plants.

    Mandatory Units - Candidates must demonstrate competence in:

  • Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy and safe working enviroment
  • Comply with emergency procedures
  • Work in a team
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the quality of the organisations work
  • Maintain effective working relationships

    In addittion Candidates will also have to choose 3 optional units from an accredited list according to job responsibilities.
  • Level 2:
    Designed for operatives with additional responsibilities for plant and people, working in recycling and clinical waste, landfill and civic amenity sites, treatment or incineration plants

    Mandatory Units - Candidates must demonstrate competence in:

  • Promote and maintain quality of the organisations work
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment
  • Develop and maintain effective working relations
  • Work in a team
  • Maintain information systems to support work
  • Comply with emergency procedures

    In addition Candidates will also have to choose 4 optional units from an accredited list according to job responsibilities.
