First Aid Training Refresher / Re-qualification
QSP provides this qualification to encourage best practice. The award is assessed to a national standard, allowing employees to develop the skills necessary to perform their role effectively.
Who is it For?
These courses are for anyone that holds a First Aid certificate and wants to refresh their skills or renew their certificate.
The First Aid at Work refresher course updates the first aid skills of those who need to renew their First Aid at Work certificate.
This 3hr course provides first aiders with an opportunity to practise and update their skills as a qualified first aider at any time while their first aid certificate is valid.
Employers are legally required to ensure their first aiders are competent and maintain their skills throughout the three years in which their certificates are valid.
The HSE strongly recommends that you attend a refresher session once every year during this three year period and that you requalify within a month of your certificate expiring.
What will I Gain?
The EFAW refresher session builds on your expertise and confidence by involving you in realistic situations with simulated casualties.
The FAW requalification course aims to update and refresh your knowledge of First aid at work, while also allowing time for revision and practice sessions in preparation for an assessment at the end of the course.
The FAW Requalification is 12 hours split over 2 days and the Annual Refresher is 3 hours long.
