Continuing Competence Refresher Course
In England and Wales the CIWM (WAMITAB) Operator Competence Scheme has a requirement for individuals to keep their competence up to date. Therefore all competent persons falling within the Scheme will be required to demonstrate ‘Continuing Competence' and this will be appropriate to the level of risk posed by the facility so that it remains proportional.

The CIWM (WAMITAB) Continuing Competence test ensures that holders of CIWM (WAMITAB) qualifications maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of industry standards, legislation, and best practice. It is a mandatory requirement for Technically Competent Managers (TCMs) who need to renew their competence certificate every two years in order to continue demonstrating professional compliance.

How is this Qualification Delivered?

Assessment

Certification
On successful completion, learners retain their CIWM (WAMITAB) Technically Competent Manager status for a further two years, confirming continued professional competence in waste and resource management.
