The Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice is designed for individuals who hold responsibility for managing workplace safety and compliance. Learners will typically operate at the management level, reporting directly to or forming part of the senior management team, with responsibility for health and safety policy and practice.
This qualification provides the advanced knowledge and skills needed to develop, implement and monitor effective health and safety systems. Learners will also gain an understanding of cost implications, budgetary control and how to recommend and implement improvements across their organisation.
Achieving this diploma demonstrates professional competence at a high level and supports progression to senior safety management roles or professional recognition with IOSH.

Learners build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating competence against nationally recognised standards. Evidence may include workplace documentation, witness testimony, professional discussions and reflective accounts.
