Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice

QSP are an accredited City and Guilds assessment centre offering a range of Health and Safety qualifications.

Who is it For?

This qualification is for learners who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in managing health and safety for the workplace. They will have an autonomous role in their organisation for managing health and safety policy and practice. They will report direct to or be part of the senior management team. They will recommend and implement changes relevant to their role. They will be aware of cost implications and budgetary control.

How does it Work?

The assessment is undertaken at the candidate’s own site by an Awarding Body approved Assessor. This causes minimum disruption to the candidate's day to day workload which can occur with alternative training programmes where the candidate leaves site to be trained in a classroom setting.

The award includes for the candidate to build a portfolio of evidence which is then assessed against nationally recognised standards and has the added benefit of being transferable between market sectors.

What will I Gain?

On successful completion of this qualification, candidates are issued a Diploma along with their portfolio which has recorded their achievement to keep as a reference.

Candidates can help supplement their activity log for their CPD membership with IOSH. The Level 5 Diploma is the natural continuation from the Level 3 for candidates who have responsibilities for the environment as well as health and safety.

Candidates who complete assignment unit 611 Professional Development and Ethics in Health and Safety Management will achieve IOSH Graduate Membership.
