What Does the Qualification Cover?
To complete this qualification, learners must achieve six mandatory units:
OCS01 – Maintain health and safety in the waste and resource management industry
OCS02 – Manage the environmental impact of work activities
OCS05 – Manage the movement, sorting and storage of waste
OCS06 – Control work activities on a waste management facility
OCS49 – Manage site operations for the remediation of contaminated land
OCS50 – Manage the transfer of outputs and disposal of residues from contaminated land remediation
These units ensure full operational competence from health and safety through to specialist remediation processes and compliant disposal of residues.
Entry Requirements
This is an open-entry qualification, meaning no prior learning is required.
Learners must simply:
Be employed in a suitable operational role, or
Have access to a suitable work environment for assessment
