QSP Training is an accredited City & Guilds assessment centre, offering the Professional Recognition Awards – an employment-based route for experienced professionals to demonstrate their leadership, management and professional competence. These awards are designed for individuals at senior levels who wish to formalise their knowledge, skills and strategic impact through a nationally recognised qualification.
Each level from 4 through 7 represents increasingly strategic responsibility and leadership capability. The awards enable candidates from any sector or role to showcase the practical application of professional standards within their work, and to gain formal recognition for their achievements and influence.

These programmes are ideal for professionals who:
Operate at supervisory or first-line management level (Level 4) and have responsibility for day-to-day operations and people.
Hold line-management roles or lead change initiatives (Level 5), with wider responsibility for teams and service delivery.
Serve as senior managers or direct reports to executive teams (Level 6), taking responsibility for organisational outcomes and strategic leadership.

How does it Work?
A typical award is completed over approximately 2-4 months, depending on your role and pace of evidence gathering. Candidates compile a portfolio demonstrating competence across six core standards:

QSP Training assigns you a dedicated approved assessor, who supports you in aligning your professional work to each standard. Evidence can include projects, reflective accounts, prior qualifications, training, and workplace documentation. Every piece of evidence must link explicitly to the relevant standard to ensure compliance with City & Guilds requirements.
What Will I Gain?
On successful completion, candidates receive a City & Guilds Certificate of Professionalism and retain their portfolio as a proof of achievement.
Each level also grants post-nominal letters to support your professional identity:
Level 4 (Licentiateship) – LCGI
Level 5 (Affiliateship) – AfCGI
Level 6 (Graduateship) – GCGI
Level 7 (Membership) – MCGI

Work-based, supported by a qualified QSP Training assessor. Evidence can be gathered through your regular work with minimal disruption.

Assessment
Portfolio-based assessment covering the six core standards. Each item must clearly link to the standard it addresses.
Certification
City & Guilds Certificate of Professionalism (Levels 4 to 7) with corresponding post-nominals and optional participation in graduation events.
