These qualifications sit within the WAMITAB Operator Competence Scheme and focus on demonstrating that individuals have the specialist technical competence required to manage complex, high‑risk waste facilities safely and in compliance with environmental permitting regulations. The high‑risk courses include awards for managing hazardous waste transfer, physical and chemical treatment of hazardous waste, hazardous and non‑hazardous open landfill, closed landfill competence, and thermal treatment of hazardous waste.
