What Does the Qualification Cover?
To complete LROC5, learners must achieve four mandatory units:
OCS01 – Maintain health and safety in the waste and resource management industry
OCS02 – Manage the environmental impact of work activities
OCS12 – Manage the reception of non-hazardous waste
OCS24 – Manage transfer and disposal from non-hazardous waste transfer and recovery operations
These units ensure learners can operate safely, manage environmental impact, control site processes, and handle non-hazardous waste correctly.
Entry Requirements
This is an open-entry qualification, meaning no previous awards or experience are required.
Learners must simply:
Be employed in a suitable operational role, or
Have access to an appropriate workplace environment
Because assessment is workplace-based, site access is essential.
